i can tell you didnt want to focus on the tree
critique time (since you do encourage it lol) hmm.. i would say more blending, if thats the style your going for, i personally like the style you have right now but if you are trying to achieve a level of blending like this: [link] then try putting in the darkest parts first, then the medium parts beside it and then start blending with a tortillion starting at the dark parts, and then working your way up to make the lightest parts. you did a fantastic job on this though, your improvment amazes me! i'm so proud lol i feel like doing a video tutorial, i like making those -- To love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existence... Well, that, and that thing you do with your tongue. Thank you for the comment Shirley, yeah I tried the blending thing and until I get to using my new paper I'm going to try a completely different style, hopefully it works out.
Eden does have some beautiful stock but is having real life issues right now and should hopefully be back soon, her stock photo's are amazing -- Born into this world We create echoes of our inward yearnings and shift along the axis from matter to spirit. ~Scott Mutter~ Was the tree that obvious ? lol
You know me, I always encourage the critique cause I want to become better I did try blending from dark to medium to light with the tortillion but it got muddy and I went back and reshaded and redid it several times so that's why it looks the way it does. I think with my shading style I might be able to pull it off without having to use blending until I do finally switch to good paper. I'd switch now but I have like 10-12 drawings that I'm already working on in the current tablet Thank you as always Tandy -- Born into this world We create echoes of our inward yearnings and shift along the axis from matter to spirit. ~Scott Mutter~ |
